Coarse body fur greyish ob flanks and back, blackish on underside and legs. Head elongated into snout with black band through ears and eyes, otherwise whitish.

Habitat: Farmland, Meadows, Woodland, Scrub.

Mainly crepuscular and nocturnal. Emergence just after dusk, varies according to sex, age, season, environmental conditions and human disturbance.
